Happy Halloween! It’s that time again!
Let’s jump into the updates, shall we? Get you back to your haunting faster.
Far North
Deep in rewrites at the moment. The first pass of editing is done, so now I’m strictly going back and focusing in on content edits. Making things better, tightening up timelines, and clarifying some character motivations.
Otherwise, no real major revelations here. This is very much the “real work” of writing to me: the part where after you’ve put all these words on a page, you now have to go back and make sure those words make sense.
Once through with that, it’s back to grammatical edits. Then out to beta readers! My hope is still for a release in 2026, so fingers crossed we can hit that goal!
Nosia Archives
OH. MY. GOD. OH MY GOD YOU GUYS. [insert Legally Blonde: The Musical score here]
The outline for the first batch of this story is done! It’s *checks notes* 38 pages long. About as long as the entirety of the Far North outline — up to this point, I still haven’t outlined Book Four — and I am exhausted.
Exhausted in a good way. Exhausted because this was a labor of love and I didn’t realize that my ideas had run away with me this much. I’m going to be taking a couple months away from it, so you wont be seeing any updates on Nosia until 2026!
Exploring Spirit
The only real update here is that I’m reading to go to work. I’ve got source texts, commentary texts, and all sorts of blogs to read. We’re going to be revisiting our old friend Mary Eddy first, so be on the lookout for that to be released in the future.
After that, it’s straight into Emma Curtis Hopkins and the man that would steal New Thought ideas to turn into his own religion — Ernest Holmes. If you’re fascinated by American New Age spirituality and how it’s influenced the current state of the American Pagan movements, I think you’re going to enjoy this research. I’ve got some truly fascinating personalities and topics to talk about in the days ahead.
Twitch and Others
November is our last month of bonus streams before the next 12-stream event! We’ve largely gone back to playing Blue Prince because the puzzles are just so good, but we did check out the demo for the next Wadjet Eye title: Nighthawks. I’m so excited for its release after just the teaser they gave us. It looks incredibly promising! So if you’re into Vampire the Masquerade, thought Bloodlines 2 wasn’t what you expected, and are a fan of adventure narrative games…then you should definitely check it out!
Also, keep a look out for an upcoming announcement about our 12 Streams of Winter event happening in December! I’ll announce it here and over on the website once things are finalized.
Speaking of the website, things are changing around there! I recently had to take things down and do some work on the back end, but everything is stable now and should be working. Only issue is that in the process of moving, a lot of images got lost and the formatting of the website didn’t import as easily as I would have hoped. In the coming days, expect to see some changes to the layout as I work on getting everything back in working order.
Ok, now, get back out there and get haunting! Stay safe and sane!
